Assault<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 1:59 a.m. Saturday, JPD investigated an assault in the 100 block of Franklin Street. Alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Burglary<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 12:14 p.m. Friday, a 30-year-old woman reported the theft of a vehicle in the 2200 block of Industrial Boulevard.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 11:28 a.m. Sunday, JPD investigated a reported burglary in the 13300 block of Glacier Highway.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Car accident<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 3:19 p.m. Friday, a 21-year-old woman reported a hit-and-run car crash in the 2600 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Child abuse<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 11:04 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of possible child abuse or neglect in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Criminal mischief<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 1:55 p.m. Saturday, 37-year-old Tammy Meachem was arrested for criminal mischief and false reporting in the 4500 block of Kanata Street. Alcohol was involved. She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Death<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 8:45 p.m. Thursday, 37-year-old Timothy Tong of Juneau was declared dead in Haines after unsuccessful CPR by the Haines Volunteer Fire Department. No foul play is suspected at this time.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Disabled car<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 9:11 p.m. Saturday, JPD impounded an abandoned vehicle containing a dog in the 9000 block of Egan Drive. The dog was left with animal control.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 3:09 p.m. Sunday, JPD impounded a vehicle in a ditch in the 500 block of Seater Street.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 5:19 a.m. Monday, a Ford truck was impounded in the 11000 block of Glacier Highway.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Disorderly conduct<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 4:21 p.m. Saturday, 45-year-old Joshua Smith was arrested in the 100 block of Franklin Street for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Drunken driving<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At midnight Sunday morning, 29-year-old Kelley Gottschlich was arrested in the 8800 block of Egan Drive for drunken driving. Her vehicle was impounded.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 12:18 a.m. Sunday, 21-year-old Ashley Sam was arrested in the 6000 block of Glacier Spur Road for drunken driving after her vehicle was found in a ditch. Her 24-year-old passenger, Johnny Wilson, was cited and released for interfering with an officer.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fire\/ambulance calls<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 On Wednesday, Capital City Fire\/Rescue responded to four ambulance calls requiring advanced life support.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 8:09 a.m. Wednesday, CCFR transported a woman from the hospital.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 8:17 a.m. Wednesday, CCFR responded to a report of a vehicle in Gold Creek at Cope Park.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, CCFR stood by for a aircraft emergency.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 3:36 p.m. Wednesday, CCFR responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of Egan Drive and Old Dairy Road. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n \u2022 On Thursday, CCFR responded to three ambulance calls requiring advanced life support, two calls where a person declined ambulance transport, one call where a person didn\u2019t need medical attention, one call where a person walked into the Glacier Avenue fire station for a blood glucose check, two fire alarms caused by burned food, and one medical transport from the hospital.<\/p>\n \u2022 On Friday, CCFR responded to six ambulance calls requiring advanced life support, three calls where no medical transport was needed, one call that ended when JPD transported the patient instead, and one call was canceled en route.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 7:44 a.m. Friday, CCFR responded to a report of a possible dryer fire on West 12th Street, but no fire was found.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 7:54 a.m. Friday on Egan Drive, CCFR responded to a traffic accident, but no injuries were found.<\/p>\n \u2022 On Saturday, CCFR responded to 11 ambulance calls requiring advanced life support, one call where a person didn\u2019t need medical attention, a fire alarm triggered by dust, a false carbon monoxide alarm, and a report of smoke coming from a light fixture that was caused by a faulty light.<\/p>\n \u2022 On Sunday, CCFR responded to eight ambulance calls requiring advanced life support, two calls canceled en route and one medical transport from the hospital.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 8:03 a.m. Sunday, CCFR responded to a report of a large amount of water flowing out of the former seafood shop at the corner of Old Dairy Road and Glacier Highway. A sprinkler pipe had burst some time ago and the water began flowing out of the building\u2019s doorway.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Probation violation<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 11 p.m., JPD arrested 34-year-old John Vavalis in the 3400 block of Glacier Highway for a probation violation. Alcohol was involved. He was taken to LCCC.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sex crime<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 1:44 p.m. Friday, JPD investigated a reported sex crime.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Standoff<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 2:05 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to a report that a suicidal man armed with a gun was in the Driftwood Lodge. JPD cordoned off the area and rerouted buses around the incident. Schools were also notified as negotiators spoke with the man. About 3:45 p.m., the man exited his Driftwood room and was Tasered before being taken into custody.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Theft<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 2:48 p.m. Friday, JPD investigated a theft of services.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 3:25 p.m. Friday, a 29-year-old man reported a theft in the 8400 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 3:13 p.m. Friday, JPD investigated a reported vehicle theft in the 9300 block of Glacier Highway.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 10:17 p.m. Friday, 22-year-old Cheyanne Richards-Wood was arrested in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway for shoplifting.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 9:05 a.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a vehicle theft on Gastineau Avenue.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 11:45 a.m. Saturday, a 51-year-old man reported about $40 was siphoned from his car in the 5800 block of Churchill Way sometime during the night.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 1:45 p.m. Saturday, a 38-year-old woman reported someone stole the laser light display from her backyard in the 3800 block of Melrose Street.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 6:44 p.m. Saturday, 20-year-old Rainon Knowles was cited and released for larceny at Sportsman\u2019s Warehouse.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 4:27 p.m. Sunday, JPD investigated a theft reported in the 3000 block of Dimond Park Loop.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Vehicle rifling<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 8:36 a.m. Monday, a 50-year-old man reported his two unlocked vehicles in the 900 block of Goldbelt Avenue were rifled.
