Loescher was of the Eagle moiety from the Chookeneidi clan. He was 68 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Loescher joined Sealaska\u2019s natural resources department in 1979, the company said. He was promoted to vice president in 1986 and executive vice president in 1989.
