This is her first painting experience, said teacher Angela Imboden, as Hagedorn doesn\u2019t take art classes in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>She received art supplies, Ducks Unlimited hat and t-shirt, waterfowl guide, Pentax Binoculars, and a $250 money order as her prize.<\/p>\n<p>Other TMHS students also received awards in the competition. Twelfth grader Erin Buhler got first place, as did 10th grader Veronica Salter; Erin Buhler also won first place for the state of Alaska for her conservation message, \u201cAppreciating Nature\u2019s beauty is the first step toward conserving it.\u201d This came with a $50 money order.<\/p>\n<p>Twelfth grader Lacey Honsinger and tenth grader Anthony (Fischer) Rago received second place ribbons and prizes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thunder Mountain High School 11th grade exchange student Rosa Annina Hagedorn of Berlin has won \u201cBest in Show\u201d for Alaska in the National Jr. Duck Stamp competition.
