A news brief on page A2 of the Empire on Friday said the FVF Fairweather experienced a mechanical issue that required the vessel to be repaired in drydock, based on a state press release. The Fairweather will not have to be drydocked.<\/p>\n
Also based on an incorrect state press release, the Empire reported the MV Columbia would have to be drydocked in Ketchikan. The state later issued a correction, saying the ferry would be drydocked in Portland instead of Ketchikan. \u201cAfter we sent the first announcement we received word from the Ketchikan shipyard that they had mistakenly double-booked the dry dock and it would not be available in time for the Columbia,\u201d a state Department of Transportation spokesman said in an email.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
