Literary Classics International Book Award and Reviews recently announced that Juneau author Annie Boochever\u2019s \u201cBristol Bay Summer,\u201d published by Alaska Northwest Books, was chosen as \u201cBest in Category, Best First Novel\u201d in its 2015 selection of top books for children and young adults.<\/p>\n
Award recipients were selected from entries received from around the globe. Literary Classics, an organization dedicated to furthering excellence in literature, \u201cpromotes classic literature which appeals to youth, while educating and encouraging positive values in the impressionable young minds of future generations.\u201d The Literary Classics judging committee is comprised of experts with backgrounds in publishing, writing, editing, design, illustration, and book reviewing. Judging is based upon the criteria set forth by Literary Classics\u2019 highly selective awards committee which honors books promoting character, vision, creativity and learning, through content which possesses key elements found in well-crafted literature.<\/p>\n
Boochever will accept her award at the The 2015 Literary Classics book awards presentation to be held on April 2, 2016 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.<\/p>\n
In addition to this award, \u201cBristol Bay Summer\u201d is an Alaska Battle of the Book selection for 2015, a Mom\u2019s Choice Awards Gold Recipient for 2015, and has been critically acclaimed.
