issued by JPD<\/a> on Monday states the department was notified at 2:53 a.m. of “a red truck driving erratically on Egan Drive.”<\/p>\n“About 3 minutes later, the truck went into the ditch and crashed Egan outbound prior to the Old Dairy Road intersection.” states the release, which does not name Bishop. “When JPD officers arrived on scene they found that the truck had sheared off a light pole, rolled and the cab of the truck had separated from the frame. The 21 year old female driver of the red 1997 Ford truck sustained visible abrasions and lacerations but was conscious.”<\/p>\n
There were no passengers in the truck. Bishop was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital for evaluation and then medivaced to Anchorage.<\/p>\n
“The truck was totaled, impounded and towed from the scene,” the JPD release notes. “The case is under investigation.”<\/p>\n
As of about 9 a.m. Tuesday a total of 40 donors had contributed $3,645 to the GoFundMe campaign.<\/p>\n
