There are already 22 organizations signed up to be in this year\u2019s Juneau Fourth of July Parade, and there\u2019s still time for others to apply.<\/p>\n
This coming Sunday marks the deadline to apply to be in the Juneau Fourth of July Parade. Entry forms are available at Cycle Alaska or at the Mendenhall Valley Library. According to the parade\u2019s website<\/a>, the organizers will still be able to find a place for people who don\u2019t apply in time, but those people will \u201chave a few more hoops to jump through.\u201d<\/p>\n The theme of this year\u2019s parade is \u201cOur Heritage,\u201d with four grand marshals: Selina <\/a>Everson<\/a>, who teached Tlingit to children at Harborview Elementary School; Bea <\/a>Findlay<\/a>, who calls herself the world\u2019s oldest drum major at age 70; Rosa <\/a>Miller<\/a>, the tribal leader of the \u00c1ak\u2019w K<\/span>w\u00e1an; and Jim Triplette<\/a> of Triplette Construction.<\/p>\n
