Police are still seeking information related to an early morning shooting that took place in Auke Bay late last month. <\/p>\n
The Juneau Police Department dredged up the old crime \u2014 and released some new details, courtesy of a witness account \u2014 in Wednesday\u2019s edition of Crime of the Week.<\/p>\n
According to police, the shooting took place in the 13000 block of Glacier Highway at about 8 a.m. Sept. 24. Nobody was injured, but police do believe the shooting to be intentional.<\/p>\n
A witness allegedly saw a red car pull up to a mobile home near the Auke Bay Ferry Terminal. An occupant of the vehicle then fired several 12-gauge shotgun rounds into the mobile home before leaving the area \u201cat a high rate of speed,\u201d according to the Crime of the Week summary. <\/p>\n
Two people \u2014 a 41-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman \u2014 were in the mobile home at the time of the shooting, the only casualty of which was one of their windows. The home\u2019s occupants, whom JPD didn\u2019t name, told police they didn\u2019t hear the shot that took out their window nor do they know who was shooting at them.<\/p>\n
