Burglary<\/strong><\/p>\n

• At 9:18 a.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the report of a theft from a business in the 1700 block of Anka Street. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n

Domestic violence<\/strong><\/p>\n

• At 1 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the report of domestic violence in the Juneau area. Alcohol was a factor. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n

Drunken driving<\/strong><\/p>\n

• At 3:08 a.m. Monday, JPD arrested Jaylene Johnston, 35, for driving while intoxicated in the 1300 block of Egan Drive. Johnston was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n

• At 3:09 a.m. Monday, JPD arrested Jeffrey Powell, 31, for driving while intoxicated in the 200 block of Seward Street. Powell’s blood-alcohol content was 0.216 percent. Powell was taken to LCCC and his vehicle was impounded for 72 hours.<\/p>\n

Fraud<\/strong><\/p>\n

• At 1:24 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the report of fraudulent use of an access device in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n

Motor vehicle crash<\/strong><\/p>\n

• At 2:53 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the report of a hit-and-run with minor damage in the 200 block of Front Street. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n

• At 7:49 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash on Marine Way. Investigation continues. For more information on the crash, refer to an article in Thursday’s paper entitled “Motorist topples street light, nearly hits city hall”<\/a><\/p>\n

Probation violation<\/strong><\/p>\n

• At 11:27 p.m., JPD took Matthew Gilchrest, 33, to jail for a probation violation after a fight in the 1800 block of Douglas Highway. Alcohol was a factor.<\/p>\n

Shoplifting<\/strong><\/p>\n

• At 12:22 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the report of shoplifting in the 500 block of Willoughby Avenue.<\/p>\n

• At 4:31 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the report of shoplifting in the 8300 block of Old Dairy Road. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n

Theft<\/strong><\/p>\n

• At 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of a man, 37, who reported his heating oil was stolen in the 3200 block of Tongass Boulevard.<\/p>\n

• At 4:15 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the reported theft of a purse in the 100 block of Franklin Street. Alcohol was a factor. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n

Vandalism<\/strong><\/p>\n
