{"id":12242,"date":"2016-09-14T08:03:45","date_gmt":"2016-09-14T15:03:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/anchorage-police-seek-2nd-man-in-road-homicide\/"},"modified":"2016-09-14T08:03:45","modified_gmt":"2016-09-14T15:03:45","slug":"anchorage-police-seek-2nd-man-in-road-homicide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/anchorage-police-seek-2nd-man-in-road-homicide\/","title":{"rendered":"Anchorage police seek 2nd man in road homicide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ANCHORAGE<\/strong> \u2014 A grand jury has indicted a second suspect on murder charges in the death of man found on a rural Anchorage road.<\/p>\n<p>Anchorage police said a warrant has been issued for the arrest of 19-year-old Riek William Gat in connection with the death of 22-year-old Michael Mitchell.<\/p>\n<p>Police are seeking the public\u2019s help in finding Gat.<\/p>\n<p>The indictment charges Gat with first- and second-degree murder in the case.<\/p>\n<p>Mitchell\u2019s body was found just before 8:30 a.m. Aug. 22 at Mile 3 Campbell Airstrip Road. He had been shot multiple times in the head and torso.<\/p>\n<p>An 18-year-old man, Kutay Bangout, also is charged with first- and second-degree murder in case.
