Assault<\/p>\n
• At 10:54 p.m. Saturday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of an assault in the 1600 block of Renninger Street. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n
• At 2:22 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a reported assault in the 200 block of Front Street. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n
• At 8:12 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a fight in the 200 block of Franklin Street involving two men and a woman. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n
Burglary<\/p>\n
• At 3:09 p.m. Saturday, JPD received a burglary report in the 400 block of Franklin Street. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n
• At 11:56 a.m. Monday, JPD received a report from a man in the 6400 block of Douglas Highway that a woman entered his residence and took some items.<\/p>\n
• On Tuesday, Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales Island received a report of a burglary and theft at the city office in Hydaburg. Someone kicked in the back door, causing an estimated $150 in damage, and stole $550 in cash. Investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
Drunken driving<\/p>\n
• At 12:24 a.m. Sunday, JPD made a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Douglas Highway and arrested Nicholas Pennington, 24, for DUI after he blew a 0.142 blood alcohol test. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n
• At 1:34 a.m. Sunday, JPD conducted a traffic stop on Cordova Street, and arrested Ashley Aemmer, 28, for driving under the influence. She later provided a breath sample of 0.149 and was booked and released at LCCC. Her vehicle was impounded.<\/p>\n
Drugs<\/p>\n
• At 2:24 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report regarding drugs in the Juneau area. Confidential investigation continues.<\/p>\n
False statement on license<\/p>\n
• On Jan. 17, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Sitka and U.S. Forest Service staff investigated a report of a vehicle stuck in an area closed to highway vehicle traffic. Jason Svilar, 23, of Coos Bay, Oregon, had been hunting deer with a falsely obtained resident hunting license. He was cited for hunting deer out of season and making a false statement on a resident hunting license.<\/p>\n
• On Monday, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Sitka cited Jams V. Coughenour, 54, for making false statements as to lengths of residency on licenses and tags in 2016.<\/p>\n
Fire and medical<\/p>\n
• On Monday, Capital City Fire\/Rescue responded to four EMS calls and one medical transport throughout the day.<\/p>\n
• At 4:40 p.m. Monday, fire marshals were dispatched to investigate a possible juvenile fire setter.<\/p>\n
Hit and run<\/p>\n
• At 3:05 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a hit-and-run accident on Egan Drive. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n
• At 5:06 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to a report of a hit-and run-with a parked car in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road.<\/p>\n
Theft<\/p>\n
• At 2:25 p.m. Saturday, JPD received a report of a theft in the 9400 block of Glacier Highway; it was determined to be a civil issue.<\/p>\n
• At 10:20 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to a report of the theft of car parts valued at about $100 from the 9300 block of Douglas Highway.<\/p>\n
• At 11:50 a.m. Monday, JPD received a report from a 73-year-old man in the 1700 block of Willow Drive that a hand-forged hatchet valued at $80 was taken from his back porch.<\/p>\n
Trespassing<\/p>\n
• At 8:51 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a trespassing report in the 990 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.<\/p>\n
Vehicle rifling<\/p>\n
• At 9:29 a.m. Sunday, JPD received a report from a 36-year-old man in the 1200 block of Harbor Way that his unlocked vehicle was rifled through.<\/p>\n
• At 5:32 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of a 26-year-old woman on Basin Road that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole $20 in change.<\/p>\n
• At 10:55 p.m. Sunday, JPD received a report by a 70-year-old man in the 7800 block of Glacier Highway that someone rifled through his vehicle.<\/p>\n
• At 5:21 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to a vehicle rifling report in the 400 block of Hermit Street. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n
• At 8:35 a.m. Monday, JPD received a report from a 35-year-old man in the 7200 block of Glacier Highway that his vehicles were rifled through with nothing of value taken.<\/p>\n
