{"id":12931,"date":"2016-05-27T08:03:12","date_gmt":"2016-05-27T15:03:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/man-charged-with-murder-in-fatal-shooting-at-gas-station\/"},"modified":"2016-05-27T08:03:12","modified_gmt":"2016-05-27T15:03:12","slug":"man-charged-with-murder-in-fatal-shooting-at-gas-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/man-charged-with-murder-in-fatal-shooting-at-gas-station\/","title":{"rendered":"Man charged with murder in fatal shooting at gas station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ANCHORAGE \u2014 A 23-year-old man has been charged with a first-degree murder in a shooting death Wednesday night at an Anchorage gas station.<\/p>\n<p>Anchorage police say Andrew Robertson-Goughnour is also charged with second-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Brandon Merritt near gas pumps at a Holiday station on Abbott Road about a block from the Seward Highway.<\/p>\n<p>Police took a call on the shooting just before 9 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses told investigators Merritt was a passenger in a sedan that started to leave and he exchanged words with Goughnour, who was pumping gas.<\/p>\n<p>Police say Merritt got out of the car, and as he was approaching Goughnour, Goughnour pulled out a gun and shot him.<\/p>\n<p>Goughnour stayed at the station until police arrived and was taken into custody for questioning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ANCHORAGE \u2014 A 23-year-old man has been charged with a first-degree murder in a shooting death Wednesday night at an Anchorage gas station.
