The City and Borough of Juneau Assembly will look over and possibly approve a wide-array of ordinances during its meeting 7 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n
The Assembly will have nine new ordinances to consider, including one that would appropriate $600,000 to the RecycleWorks\/Waste Management Enterprise Fund. Voters approved $2 million in temporary sales tax in 2017 for that program.<\/p>\n
There will also be a possible marijuana license agreement with Always Redeye LLC Standard Marijuana Cultivation Facility, 2001 Anka Street. Public Works\/Utilities and Finance staff initially recommended a protest of this license due to water utility shut-off and non-payment on Dec. 18, 2017 after the company received a Conditional Use Permit Oct. 26, 2017 because it did not have a CBJ marijuana license to operate. The Always Redeye has brought its account current, according to the Assembly agenda, and the protest was withdrawn Feb. 28.<\/p>\n
The Assembly will also look into adopting an ordinance that would transfer $200,000 from the Harbor Fund to a new Capital Improvement Project for Auke Bay Marine Station Maintenance and Improvements. The Harbor Fund currently has a balance of $1,485,517 and the transfer would place it at $1,285,517.<\/p>\n
The CBJ Assembly Human Resources Committee will meet for its regular meeting at 6 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n
