On behalf of the Southeast Alaska Food Bank Board of Directors and our volunteers, I would like to thank Harley Marine Services Incorporated, a leading provider of marine transportation services in the United States, for their generous donation of $2,500 to our organization. This donation will allow us to continue with our efforts to serve families and individuals who may need assistance to provide healthy and nutritious food for their families.<\/p>\n
The Southeast Alaska Food Bank could never achieve its goal of providing healthy food for those in need without the generosity of businesses such as Harley Marine Services. Their donation will be used to assist the food bank in providing funding for us to continue with our building project. Our new addition will allow us to increase our food storage capacity, which has been much needed, and will enable us to provide additional assistance to the citizens of Juneau.<\/p>\n
Last year, through the efforts of our one employee and our dedicated volunteers, the Southeast Alaska Food Bank provided over 260,000 pounds of food to local food pantries, member agencies and members of the community.<\/p>\n
