Max Gruenberg.<\/p>\n<p>They are Taylor Brelsford, Kendra Kloster and Ivy Spohnholz. The Alaska Democratic party, in a release, said Gruenberg\u2019s widow, Kayla Epstein, withdrew her application.<\/p>\n<p>By law, the appointee must be a member of the same political party as the predecessor, and in this case, would be subject to confirmation by House Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>Walker has 30 days from the vacancy to make the appointment. Gruenberg died Feb. 14. A Walker spokeswoman says he\u2019ll interview the finalists and make his decision by March 15.<\/p>\n<p>According to the release, Brelsford is an environmental scientist; Kloster serves as an aide to House Minority Leader Chris Tuck; and Spohnholz works as development director for the Salvation Army.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JUNEAU \u2014 Anchorage Democrats have announced three finalists to fill the vacancy left by the late state Rep.
