Malacaro, 36, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.juneaupolice.com\/PSA-template.php?UID=1935\" target=\"_blank\">police said in a release<\/a>. Police said the cause of death appears to be from a gunshot, and a handgun was recovered near the body.<\/p>\n<p>The preliminary investigation shows that no foul play is suspected, according to the release. Next of kin has been notified.<\/p>\n<p>JPD is still investigating the death, and Malacaro&rsquo;s body will be sent to the Medical Examiner&rsquo;s Office in Anchorage for an autopsy.<\/p>\n<p>Malacaro, who worked in the Juneau Empire&rsquo;s mailroom, was found on the north side of the bridge, near an electric substation and Trucano Construction, in the 8500 block of Douglas Highway.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>&#8226; Contact reporter Alex McCarthy at 523-2271 or alex.mccarthy@juneauempire.com.
