Police are still searching for one suspect in connection with an assault this past Thursday, according to a Juneau Police Department press release.

One 25-year-old Juneau resident, Frank A. Rogers, was arrested Thursday night for second- and third-degree assault after a victim in an assault identified him, according to the release. JPD is currently working to identify the other suspect, police say.

Just after 5 p.m. Thursday, police say, JPD got a call from a woman reporting that her 27-year-old daughter had been assaulted by two men at the daughter’s home in the 9100 block of Cinema Drive. Officers arrived on the scene, the release states, to find the two men gone and the daughter injured. Capital City Fire/Rescue personnel took her to Bartlett Regional Hospital, police say, and she was released later that night.

Officers learned that two men had come over to the victim’s home that night with handguns, police say, saying that the woman’s friend had stolen several items from them that they wanted back. Rogers, according to the release, hit the woman several times before driving away. The woman recognized Rogers, police say, but was not able to identify the other man.
