Juneau resident Todd Maclay, who called 911, said at the scene that he was near the Wharf when he heard someone yell for help.

“I didn’t hear the fall but I saw the wake come out,” Maclay said. “Another guy called for help, so I came around and saw her. She was floating chest-up.”

Maclay’s call came in at 7:23 p.m., Cameron said. Emergency vehicles were on the scene within a few minutes, Maclay said.
