FAIRBANKS \u2014 <\/strong>The University of Alaska is looking to fill positions on the president\u2019s executive team following the abrupt resignation of two officials.<\/p>\n The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports that Chief Finance Officer Ashok Roy and Chief Human Resources Officer Erik Seastedt submitted their resignations Monday.<\/p>\n UA President Jim Johnsen, who started in September, said in a memo that Roy and Seastedt had resigned after speaking with him.<\/p>\n University spokeswoman Robbie Graham wouldn\u2019t comment on why the two men stepped down, but said the resignations are not unusual, citing Johnsen\u2019s recent arrival.<\/p>\n Graham says the resignations take effect immediately. Roy and Seastedt will remain university employees on paid leave for a three-month period.<\/p>\n Roy had worked in his executive position since 2012, and Seastedt started in 2013.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
