Early Saturday morning, a domestic dispute on Gastineau Avenue turned bloody.<\/p>\n
According to a release<\/a> from the Juneau Police Department, a neighbor called JPD at 3:11 a.m. Saturday, reporting that there was a loud argument going on at a home in the 300 block of Gastineau Avenue. The caller said it sounded like a physical altercation and that somebody might have been stabbed.<\/p>\n Officers arrived on the scene to find a 28-year-old man bleeding from his torso and left arm, with wounds that were consistent with being stabbed. Capital City Fire\/Rescue responders took the man to Bartlett Regional Hospital, and as of 10 a.m. Saturday he was in stable condition despite the serious nature of his injuries.<\/p>\n Officers also found a 40-year-old woman in the home, and arrested her for first-degree assault (a class A felony). She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail.<\/p>\n The man and woman were known to each other, and officers discovered the incident was a domestic dispute. The JPD release did not list whether alcohol played a factor. The knife believed to be used in the assault was found in the residence.
