\u201cThere have been three consumer reports of temporary gastrointestinal symptoms, however, we have been unable to confirm that these are related to the product,\u201d stated a company announcement for Gerber on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration website.<\/p>\n
Gerber is offering replacement coupons for consumers who purchased specific batches of GERBER\u00ae Organic 2ND FOODS\u00ae Pouches: Pears, Carrots & Peas, 3.5 ounce pouch, and GERBER\u00ae Organic 2ND FOODS\u00ae Pouches: Carrots, Apples and Mangoes, 3.5 ounce pouch. In some cases, the pouches are bloated and the product inside may have an off taste or odor. <\/p>\n
The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation\u2019s Food Safety and Sanitation Program has confirmed the Alaska distribution of these products.<\/p>\n
Consumers who purchased the specific food pouches are encouraged to contact the Gerber Parents Resource Center at 1-800-706-0556 for a replacement coupon.<\/p>\n
