Lisa Murkowski&rsquo;s silence in the wake of this administrations attacks on the Department of Justice, the FBI and the free press.<\/p>\n<p>To allow a president of the United States to brand the free press as &ldquo;the enemy of the people&rdquo; should not go unchallenged.<\/p>\n<p>I would hope that the Juneau Empire will register its outrage at this dangerous mindset poisoning our democratic institutions.<\/p>\n<p>I am a Vietnam veteran and a lifelong Bill Egan Democrat who wrote in Murkowski&rsquo;s name in her last election. What is going on in Washington, D.C. at this time is deeply troubling.<\/p>\n<p>Defend the First Amendment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark A.
