Fate was not generous with time,<\/p>\n
It did not let you, in my hammock,<\/p>\n
To sing lullabies.<\/p>\n
All along, I craved for that moment,<\/p>\n
To be with you,<\/p>\n
And to sing for you instead,<\/p>\n
Your unsung lullabies.<\/p>\n
Time and space made it impossible<\/p>\n
To be together<\/p>\n
And to know each other more.<\/p>\n
Though now you\u2019re forever gone<\/p>\n
It\u2019s comforting to know<\/p>\n
You\u2019re with me \u2014 wherever I go.<\/p>\n
You\u2019re the silver cloud that guides my way,<\/p>\n
The ocean waves that unceasingly rush to shore,<\/p>\n
Quietly, sometimes, loudly<\/p>\n
Reminding me \u201cMy child, I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n
No time and distance can come between us now,<\/p>\n
You\u2019re the wind that embraces me tight,<\/p>\n
The star that\u2019s my dark night light,<\/p>\n
A peaceful sonata that drifts me into sleep,<\/p>\n
A beat in my heart that whispers,<\/p>\n
\u201cI love you, too, my Dad.\u201d<\/p>\n
