Assault<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 1:09 p.m. Sunday, the Juneau Police Department investigated a possible assault.<\/p>\n
Burglary<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 3:16 p.m. Sunday, JPD investigated a residential burglary in the 300 block of 10th Street.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 5:03 p.m. Sunday, JPD investigated the theft of a gun in the 1200 block of Ninth Street.<\/p>\n
Criminal trespass<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 3:54 a.m. Sunday, Jared Fortin, 32, was cited and released for criminal trespass for sleeping at a closed business in the 3900 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 10:09 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a trespassing incident at a CBJ Parks and Rec facility in the 2000 block of Riverside Drive. A suspect was identified, and investigation continues.<\/p>\n
Death<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 11:13 a.m. Sunday, JPD investigated the death of Benjamin Parsons, 39. For more information, see Tuesday\u2019s newspaper.<\/p>\n
Domestic violence<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 7:13 p.m. Saturday, a 34-year-old man was arrested for criminal mischief related to domestic violence, and he was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 9:31 p.m. Saturday, a 55-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence assault, and he was taken to LCCC without bail.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 4:39 p.m. Sunday, a 17-year-old boy was arrested for assault in the fourth degree, related to domestic violence. He was taken to Johnson Youth Center.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 9:02 p.m. Sunday, a 34-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence assault, and he was taken to LCCC without bail.<\/p>\n
Drunken driving<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 1:47 a.m. Sunday, Herminio Ramos, 46, was arrested for driving under the influence. His BrAC read 0.182 and he was taken to LCCC without bail. His vehicle was impounded.<\/p>\n
Fire and medical<\/p>\n
\u2022 On Thursday, Capital City Fire\/Rescue responded to seven EMS calls around town, seven medical transports and two fire alarms triggered by building maintenance on Willoughby Avenue.<\/p>\n
\u2022 On Friday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm on Saint Ann\u2019s Avenue, but no smoke or fire was found. CCFR also responded to an EMS call at 9:06 p.m. to assist a person who was removed from a cruise ship near Hump Island with a U.S. Coast Guard boat and a CCFR crew; the patient was provided advanced life support care and taken to BRH. CCFR responded to eight EMS calls throughout the day, and two medical transports.<\/p>\n
\u2022 On Saturday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm on Harbor Way, but no smoke or fire was found. CCFR was dispatched to assist JPD on Teslin Street at 2:47 a.m.; the patient refused EMS care. CCFR responded to a fire alarm caused by burned food on Teal Street, and also seven EMS calls and one medical transport.<\/p>\n
\u2022 On Sunday, CCFR responded to a vehicle accident with injuries on Mendenhall Loop Road\/Taku Boulevard at 6:56 p.m.; a male patient was provided advanced life support care and taken to BRH. CCFR also responded to an authorized, controlled burning on Tongass Boulevard\/Hayes Way, an unauthorized burning on Emily Way that was ordered extinguished, assisted Rainforest Recovery Center with a patient on Whittier Street, and helped clean up an oil spill on Mendenhall Loop Road\/Mint Way. They also responded to seven EMS calls, six medical transport calls and one call that was cancelled en route.<\/p>\n
Harassment<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 3:42 p.m. Sunday, JPD investigated a report of harassment on Gull Way. Information only.<\/p>\n
Motor vehicle crash<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 3:28 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a crash with injuries in the 8200 block of Threadneedle Street. One vehicle was a 2003 Toyota Corolla driven by a 44-year-old man, and the other was a 2013 Vespa driven by a 35-year-old man. A citation was issued.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 9:49 a.m. Monday, JPD investigated a motor vehicle crash in the 2600 block of David Street. No injuries, minor damage only.<\/p>\n
Shoplifting<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 6:10 p.m. Saturday, Jared Marenah, 26, was cited and released for shoplifting $157.98 in merchandise in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway. The merchandise was recovered.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 8:09 p.m. Saturday, Autumn McMichael, 24, was cited and released for shoplifting $391.65 in merchandise from a business in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 2:48 p.m. Sunday, Michael Hoyt, 38, was cited and released for shoplifting in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway.<\/p>\n
Theft<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 1:33 p.m. Saturday, JPD received a report of a stolen boat near Savikko Park. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 10:05 a.m. Sunday, JPD received a report of a stolen wallet and iPod in the 2200 block of Trout Street.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 2:09 a.m. Monday, JPD created a report for theft on Egan Drive. Information only.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 10:27 a.m. Monday, a 64-year-old woman reported the theft of a case of wine sometime between Sept. 4 and 12 in the 4500 block of Sawa Circle. The wine was valued at approximately $360.<\/p>\n
Vandalism<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 1:24 p.m. Saturday, JPD received a report of vandalism at the Goldbelt on Egan Drive. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 7:06 p.m. Sunday, JPD investigated a report of vandalism in the 200 block of Franklin Street.<\/p>\n
Vehicle rifling<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 10:04 p.m. Saturday, a 43-year-old woman reported her vehicle was rifled in the 300 block of Gastineau Avenue and $200 worth of items were stolen.<\/p>\n
