Six students were recognized at Thunder Mountain High School\u2019s January student recognition, two of which recently graduated: Gage Edwards and T Iputi.<\/p>\n
Junior Janae Reese was nominated by English teacher Barbra Jo Maier.<\/p>\n
\u201cOutstanding debater!\u201d Maier said of Reese. \u201cOutstanding speaker. Positive attitude. Trustworthy. Willing to do the work. Assignments\/tasks are completed beyond the highest criteria and submitted before the deadline.\u201d<\/p>\n
Senior Andrew DeGroat was nominated by attendance coordinator Darcie Seibel. \u201cAndrew is always very polite, friendly and overall a great person,\u201d Seibel said. \u201cHe also helps Earl a lot for community service, but goes above and beyond. He\u2019s always prompt and ready to help in any way.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sophomore Alexandria Hayward was nominated by English teacher Chris Knight.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlex is an extraordinarily nice person that works hard in English,\u201d Knight said. \u201cShe is very adaptable to different perspectives and her writing flows comfortably with skill and precision showing additional effort and oversight.\u201d<\/p>\n
Junior Evan Mauk was nominated by counselor Phil Merrell.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvan has made some significant changes academically this year as a student, and they deserve recognition!\u201d Merrell said. \u201cHe is polite, studious and responds well to guidance. When I suggested to Evan some options for making up credit, he took the initiative and met with his teacher that very day. I have found few students who follow through on things as readily as Evan. Keep up the great work, we are very proud of you!\u201d<\/p>\n
Senior Alice Johnson was nominated by Russian and business teacher Janna Lelchuk.<\/p>\n
\u201cExcellent work, dedication and passion towards our school yearbook!\u201d Lelchuk said. \u201cAmazing photography skills. Go Alice!\u201d<\/p>\n
Freshmen Duane Harwell was nominated by English teacher Patrick Roach.<\/p>\n
