{"id":21257,"date":"2016-06-12T08:00:14","date_gmt":"2016-06-12T15:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/jlo-audtitions-open-for-putting-it-together\/"},"modified":"2016-06-12T08:00:14","modified_gmt":"2016-06-12T15:00:14","slug":"jlo-audtitions-open-for-putting-it-together","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/life\/jlo-audtitions-open-for-putting-it-together\/","title":{"rendered":"JLO audtitions open for &#8220;Putting It Together&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Juneau Lyric Opera will have open auditions for Sondheim\u2019s \u201cPutting It Together\u201d for their Fall 2016 production, which will be directed by William Conrow.<\/p>\n<p>JLO is looking for someone to play the Wife and sing \u201cGetting Married Today,\u201d the Husband\u2019s \u201cSorry-Grateful,\u201d the Young Woman\u2019s \u201cThe Miller\u2019s Son,\u201d the Young Man\u2019s \u201cMerry Me A Little\u201d and the Host\u2019s \u201cI Could Drive A Person Crazy.\u201d Additionally, there will be five non-singing roles for three women and two men; participants should be aware they will be constantly interacting with the singers throughout the two-hour production. Each person is asked to dress ready to dance.<\/p>\n<p>Audition times are Friday, June 24, at 6 p.m., and Saturday, June 25, at 1 p.m. Both will take place at the Holy Trinity Church\u2019s library, which is located to the right of the main entrance. Those who wish to audition must sign up in advance by calling (907) 586-2742 or email director@juneauopera.org.
