The charging documents were filed in Anchorage.<\/p>\n<p>According to an Associated Press story on <a href=\"http:\/\/juneauempire.com\/news\/state\/2018-06-01\/former-alaska-legislator-zach-fansler-plead-guilty\" target=\"_blank\">June 1<\/a>, Fansler plans to plead guilty to the charge.<\/p>\n<p><ins>[<a href=\"http:\/\/juneauempire.com\/state\/news\/alaska-legislature\/2018-01-25\/beaten-legislator-juneau-woman-accuses-lawmaker-violent\" target=\"_blank\">Juneau woman accuses lawmaker of violent attack<\/a>] <\/ins><\/p>\n<p>The 39-year-old had resigned from his position with the Legislature in the wake of the allegations in Feburary.<\/p>\n<p>Fansler&rsquo;s defense attorney, Wallace Tetlow, did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s not clear when the next court hearing in the case is.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>&#8226; Contact reporter Gregory Philson at gphilson@juneauempire.com or call at 523-2265.
