Assault<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 At 2:13 p.m. Friday., the Juneau Police Department responded to a report of an assault, trespass and theft at a business in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road; investigation continues.<\/p>\n

\u2022 At 3:28 a.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a report of an assault at Sealaska Plaza.<\/p>\n

\u2022 At 3:01 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a reported assault in the 100 block of Main Street.<\/p>\n

Counterfeit money<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 At 5:35 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to a report of a counterfeit $20 bill being used at a business in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue.<\/p>\n

Drunken driving<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 At 3:24 a.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Samson Olaf Demmert, 46, on Marine Way, for operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol, and with refusal to submit to a chemical test; he was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail.<\/p>\n

Fight<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 At 2:45 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of a large fight involving numerous people in the 100 block of Seward Street.<\/p>\n

Fire and medical<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 On Friday, Capital City Fire\/Rescue responded to six EMS calls in the area throughout the day. At 4 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to an active fire alarm on Glacier Highway, but found no sign of smoke or fire. At 6:06 p.m., firefighters assisted JPD in getting into an elevator on Marine Way.<\/p>\n

\u2022 On Saturday, CCFR responded to four EMS calls and three medical transports. At 2:37 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a burn complaint on Davis Avenue and asked the property owner to extinguish the fire. At 5:39 p.m., they responded to a smoke complaint on Engineers Cutoff Road; the property owner was found to be abiding by his burn permit. At 8:38 p.m., they responded to a vehicle crash on Thane Road; a woman was provided basic life support and taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital.<\/p>\n

\u2022 On Sunday, CCFR responded to six EMS calls and four medical transports. At 8:09 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a report of black smoke on Glacier Highway; they found a wood fire kiln in use. At 8:42 a.m., they responded to a smoke complaint on Foster Avenue; no sign was found of smoke or fire. At 10:22 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to an active fire alarm on Crow Hill Drive and found a malfunctioning alarm panel.<\/p>\n

Fishing violation<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 On Sunday, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Juneau post, issued William Miller, 48, of Juneau, a citation for sport fishing in Gastineau Channel with more than one set of gear. Miller was fined $110.<\/p>\n

Hit and run<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 At 6:38 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to a report of a hit and run collision in the 2200 block of Radcliffe Road.<\/p>\n

\u2022 At 3:31 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a report by a 63-year-old man in the 2800 block of Riverside Drive that he had been involved in a collision with another vehicle, but the other vehicle then drove off.<\/p>\n

Sex crime<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 At 10:21 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to a report of a sexual assault and harassment in the Juneau area.<\/p>\n

Shoplifting<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 At 4:11 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a reported shoplifting in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard.<\/p>\n

\u2022 At 10:20 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a shoplifting report in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard.<\/p>\n

Theft<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 At 4:27 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a report of a stolen cellphone in the 100 block of Franklin Street.<\/p>\n

Trespassing<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 At 4:08 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a trespassing report in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue.<\/p>\n

\u2022 At 7:43 p.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Latonya Martin, 30, for criminal trespass in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue; she was taken to LCCC and then released on her own recognizance.<\/p>\n

Vehicle theft<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 At 9:52 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road; the vehicle was later recovered.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
