He remains jailed on assault and coercion charges.<\/p>\n<p>A police statement filed in court says officers had responded to the home Friday night to a report of a man threatening to shoot himself, his children and any officers who showed up<\/p>\n<p>Officers say the children were able to leave the house before the suspect opened fire inside the home.<\/p>\n<p>Police had sought help from state troopers, who brought in a negotiator and a Southcentral Special Emergency Reaction Team.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers say Hensley surrendered after a lengthy negotiation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BETHEL \u2014 Police say a 30-hour standoff with a Bethel man who threatened to shoot himself in a home with his children inside has ended with no one hurt and the suspect in custody.
