Coverage will start Feb. 1.<\/p>\n<p>According to figures provided by the federal government, 908 people in the City and Borough of Juneau signed up for health care insurance by Jan. 9.<\/p>\n<p>In the Ketchikan Gateway Borough, the figure was 517. In Sitka, it was 432.<\/p>\n<p>Skagway has seen 167 people sign up, and 282 people have signed up in the Haines Borough.<\/p>\n<p>Statewide, according to the federal agency, 21,671 Alaskans have signed up or had their insurance automatically renewed.<\/p>\n<p>To sign up for health insurance through the federal government, visit healthcare.gov.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today is the deadline to sign up for Obamacare in 2016.
