Some of Mark\u2019s most notable photos feature whales.<\/p>\n<p>After working as a photojournalist at the Juneau Empire for over thirteen years, Mark pursued a full-time career in freelance photography and publishing in 1993. <\/p>\n<p>Mark is well known for his Juneau and Southeast Alaska calendars and has sold more than a quarter million books featuring Alaska. <\/p>\n<p>Fireside Lectures occur every Friday night during January, February and March at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, managed by the US Forest Service. There are two presentations: the first is at 6:30 p.m., with a repeat at 8 p.m. Lectures are free and open to the public.
