{"id":22498,"date":"2016-02-23T22:49:48","date_gmt":"2016-02-24T06:49:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/vehicle-rolls-over-on-egan-drive\/"},"modified":"2016-02-23T22:49:48","modified_gmt":"2016-02-24T06:49:48","slug":"vehicle-rolls-over-on-egan-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/vehicle-rolls-over-on-egan-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"Vehicle rolls over on Egan Drive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Juneau Police Department received several 911 calls Tuesday morning alerting officers to a crash on Egan Drive that resulted in a car landing upside down.<\/p>\n<p>An investigation showed that sometime before 7:11 a.m., Stanislav Nekipelov, 69, lost control of his 2003 Honda CR-V on the icy roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned the vehicle, according to an information release by JPD Sgt. Krag Campbell. Nekipelov was not injured.<\/p>\n<p>JPD responded along with Capital City Fire\/Rescue, and due to the position of the crashed vehicle in the roadway, the right-hand lane of Egan Drive was closed for about 30 minutes. At times, both lanes of travel were closed so tow truck operators could safely remove the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Officers issued Nekipelov a citation for basic speed, which is for operating a vehicle at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent considering the traffic, roadway and weather conditions, according to the press release.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Juneau Police Department received several 911 calls Tuesday morning alerting officers to a crash on Egan Drive that resulted in a car landing upside down.
