ANCHORAGE \u2014 A 77-year-old bear hunter is recovering from injuries suffered when he was mauled by a grizzly.<\/p>\n
Alaska State Troopers on Monday identified the hunter as Glenn Bohn of Wasilla.<\/p>\n
Troopers just after 1:30 p.m. Friday took a report of a bear attack near Mile 68 Denali Highway.<\/p>\n
The 135-mile road runs east to west and connects the Richardson and Parks highways east of Denali National Park.<\/p>\n
The bear was killed by Bohn\u2019s hunting partner.<\/p>\n
Bohn was driven by snowmobile to the Denali Highway. A LifeMed Alaska helicopter flew him to an Anchorage hospital.<\/p>\n
Wildlife troopers, employees of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and friends of Bohn removed the bear from the field Saturday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
