Usually, coalitions were a mix of Republicans, Democrats and Independents, and were based on the representative\u2019s location rather than political party. The Alaskan Republican Party planned to withhold campaign money from any incumbent who joins a non-Republican coalition, meaning the Alaska Legislature\u2019s atmosphere is sure to change.<\/p>\n<p>As for the City and Borough of Juneau, candidates ran towards the municipal office to file for candidacy.
