Assault<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 7:12 p.m. Friday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of an assault at the John Pugh residence hall at the University of Alaska Southeast. Alcohol involved.<\/p>\n Burglary<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 3:48 p.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a reported burglary and theft from a residence in the 6300 block of Glacier Highway.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 4:05 p.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a reported burglary and theft in the 10400 block of Dock Street.<\/p>\n Commercial crabbing closed season<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 On Friday, Dennis J. Capua, 60, of Juneau, pled no contest in Juneau District Court to one count of operating commercial Dungeness crab gear during closed season. He was fined $6,000 with $3,000 suspended and placed on probation for 18 months. The charge stems from an Alaska Wildlife Trooper investigation that showed Capua failed to remove at least 64 commercial Dungeness crab pots from the waters of Stephens Passage before the 2015 summer season closed on Aug. 15.<\/p>\n Counterfeit <\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 1:34 p.m. Friday, an investigation continued into a 22-year-old woman who deposited a counterfeit check after receiving it in the mail.<\/p>\n Domestic violence assault<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 11 p.m. Saturday, JPD received information about a possible domestic violence assault. Alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n Drunken driving<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 2:44 a.m. Saturday, Amanda Filori, 32, was arrested for drunken driving in the 3300 block of Douglas Highway. She provided a breath sample that read 0.127 percent. She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n Failure to stop\/Reckless endangerment<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 3:33 a.m. Sunday, 21-year-old Duwayne Smith was arrested for one count of failure to stop at the direction of a peace office on Jordan Avenue and two counts of reckless endangerment. He was taken to LCCC. Alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n Fire and medical<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 On Thursday, Capital City Fire\/Rescue responded to five EMS calls, two transport calls and a fire alarm at a building on Glacier Avenue that was activated by shorted electrical equipment.<\/p>\n Remand<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 2:07 a.m. Sunday, JPD assisted another agency in remanding a 38-year-old man in the 3300 block of Egan Drive. Alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n Traffic stop<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 9:25 p.m. Friday, a GMC Yukon failed to yield at the direction of a police officer in the 9000 block of Egan Drive. Investigation continues.<\/p>\n Trespassing<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 1:16 p.m. Friday, Frank White Jr. was cited and released for criminal trespass in the 400 block of Willoughby Avenue.<\/p>\n Vandalism<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 12:12 p.m. Friday, a coin box on a coin-operated laundry machine was damaged in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 3:52 a.m. Saturday, JPD received a report of vandalism in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.<\/p>\n Vehicle accident<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 11:08 a.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a motor vehicle collision that occurred in the 8900 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.
