DUTCH HARBOR \u2014 An Oregon man has pleaded guilty to killing two bald eagles in the Aleutian Islands port of Dutch Harbor.<\/p>\n
Alaska State Troopers say 29-year-old Dennis C. Thompson of Union, Oregon, last week pleaded guilty to unlawfully accelerating a vehicle through several bald eagles feeding on a road near the Unalaska landfill.<\/p>\n
Thompson was fined $1,000 with $500 suspended.<\/p>\n
He was placed on one year probation.<\/p>\n
He also was ordered to pay $3,400 in restitution to the Bird Treatment and Learning Center in Anchorage.<\/p>\n
