The intention of the focused enforcement is to bring the number of major-injury or fatal collisions on Alaska\u2019s roads down to zero.<\/p>\n<p>Complementing the enforcement effort is the release of a new seat belt public service announcement video, \u201cShowing Up.\u201d It can be found at youtube.com\/watch?v=wo2yedzCbgw.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers are encouraging drivers to, as always, practice safe driving behaviors on the roads while traveling to and from their destinations.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers should not only wear their seat belts, but also encourage passengers to buckle up and ensure that children are properly restrained using appropriate safety equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers also encourage everyone to report any dangerous driver immediately by calling 911.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alaska State troopers will be on high alert this holiday break, with extra traffic enforcement focused on seat belt safety.
