Eaglecrest Ski Area, which closed Thursday, will reopen for skiing and snowboarding across the whole mountain on Saturday, Jan. 30. Porcupine, Hooter, and Ptarmigan chairlifts will operate from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with Black Bear opening at 9:30 a.m. All mountain services will be open, and the Snow Bus will operate. <\/p>\n
With prevailing warm and wet weather on the lower mountain earlier in the week, Eaglecrest is undergoing a necessary closure to allow the mountain to drain. Eaglecrest will stay closed today as staff will begin moving snow and repairing rain affected slopes.<\/p>\n
All things considered, the snow pack on the mountain held up very well, said an Eaglecrest press release. The ski area has had a much improved season to date and is looking forward to colder temperatures and some snow in the weekend\u2019s forecast. <\/p>\n
Roll Back Weekend, originally scheduled for this weekend, has been rescheduled for March 5 and 6. Eaglecrest will roll back the clock and roll back the prices to what they were when it all started in 1975. Lift tickets will be $7. Rental equipment will be $10. There will a beer tent, as well as free product demos from Slash Snowboards.<\/p>\n
