He is the brother-in-law of Charlotte Brower, who was recalled as mayor earlier this year after she was linked to borough spending that benefited family members<\/p>\n<p>Brower Jr. defeated George Ahmaogak in the runoff.<\/p>\n<p>John Boyle, the borough\u2019s director of government and external affairs, says Brower Jr. will serve what would have been the remainder of Charlotte Brower\u2019s term.
