Members of the League of Women Voters are holding a workshop Saturday to help citizens have their voices be heard at a local and state level.

The workshop, entitled “How to Lobby,” will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in the conference room at the Terry Miller Legislative Building on Fifth Street. The workshop’s focus is lobbying state lawmakers at the Capitol, but the principles taught in the workshop apply to lobbying on a local level as well.

Three hours will be spent discussing the legislative process, learning about how to track legislation and generally making one’s voice be heard.
