The program is open to all resident visual artists who have not had a solo exhibition at the Alaska State Museum within the past six years. The deadline for receipt of the completed application is Aug. 26.<\/p>\n<p>Artists may work in any media. The completed application must contain 10 digital images of the type of work proposed and up to five video files, as well as a written description and resume. Artists are encouraged to develop new works for this opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>Approximately six artists will be selected by a committee compised of museum staff and art professionals and the solo exhibitions will be scheduled starting in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Selected artists will be announced Sept. 12.<\/p>\n<p>Interested artists can learn more on the Alaska State Museum\u2019s Artist Opportunities page at museums.alaska.gov and apply at callforentry.org.
