Perseverance Theatre will open \u201cSweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street\u201d on Nov. 6. \u201cSweeney Todd,\u201d which features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler, runs on the Perseverance Theatre mainstage in Douglas from Nov. 6\u2013Dec. 6.<\/p>\n
The action follows Benjamin Barker, who is returning to London bent on revenge after serving time for a crime he did not commit. Armed with a sharp, straight razor, he sets up shop as one of the finest barbers in the city, and calls himself Sweeney Todd. When he meets Mrs. Lovett, a local pie maker who will do anything for him, Todd\u2019s plan for vengeance unfolds.<\/p>\n

There are three Pay-As-You-Can Previews will be offered on Wednesday, Nov. 4, and Thursday Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. There are two pay-as-you-can performances on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
The play is directed by Flordelino Lagundino, and the cast includes Enrique Bravo, Keith McCoy, Victoria Bundonis, Jessica Skiba, Leonid Grinberg, Tommy Schoffler, Zebadiah Bodine, Kelly Rossberg, Christina Apathy, Stacy Katasse, Richard Carter, Mike Gamble, Salissa Thole and Shadow Hotch.<\/p>\n
