It\u2019s been a big week for Thunder Mountain High School softball.<\/p>\n
TMHS got another win against Juneau-Douglas High School on Wednesday night, notching only their second win in program history against the Crimson Bears with the 9-1 victory.<\/p>\n
The Falcon\u2019s first win against JDHS came just a day earlier with a 7-1 victory Tuesday night.<\/p>\n
Wednesday\u2019s game remained scoreless until the fourth when senior Taylor Beardslee broke it open with a solo homer to center field.<\/p>\n
The Falcons added two more in the fifth off a single by junior Alondra Echiverri and a double by senior Makayla Harp before JDHS got a run back in the bottom of that inning with a double by sophomore Elisa Fabrello.<\/p>\n
Echiverri blasted a three-run homer to left field that sent the Falcons up 6-1 in the sixth inning to put the game out of reach. Echiverri was a perfect 4-4 from the plate Wednesday. The Falcons added three more runs in the seventh to close scoring.<\/p>\n
Senior Falcon Taylor Beardslee pitched another seven innings on Wednesday, throwing an efficient 64 strikes in 87 pitches that included three strikeouts.<\/p>\n
Sophomore Crimson Bear Leah Spargo threw 130 pitches for 83 strikes and four strikeouts in the loss.<\/p>\n
