Thank you!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8212;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After hearing from <a href=\"http:\/\/juneauempire.com\/local\/2016-08-03\/meet-worlds-greatest-fisherman\" target=\"_blank\">The World\u2019s Greatest Fisherman<\/a>, we at the Empire were awed by the tale of the doctor who wrestled with a 59-pounder for nearly an hour to nab the largest king in Golden North Salmon Derby history.<\/p>\n<p>We can\u2019t help it \u2014 we want to hear more fish stories.<\/p>\n<p>Just about everyone in Southeast Alaska has a good one to tell, whether it\u2019s about a king you caught or the one that got away.<\/p>\n<p>Share your story with us, and we will pick out the best stories to be printed in the Empire on Aug. 12 (the first day the Golden North Salmon Derby). The Empire will also pick one winner to receive a $50 gift certificate from Nugget Alaskan Outfitter.<\/p>\n<p>You can submit your story a few different ways. You can leave a comment on the Juneau Empire Facebook page, and please use the hash tag #ShareYourFishStory so we can find it. You can also email it to editor@juneauempire.com with the words \u201cFish story\u201d in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p>For judging the best stories, humor goes a long way, and so does a story that\u2019s grounded in reality.
