Scott Erickson said an estimated $3,700 worth of goods were stolen from a 75-year-old woman\u2019s home in the 4100 block of Aspen Avenue. Nine handguns, four pieces of jewelry and four pieces of art were reported missing.<\/p>\n<p>Sgt. David Wrightson said the woman did not regularly stay at that residence and it was vacant during the burglary. The missing art pieces were original works created by the homeowner. Police later found some of those pieces discarded in the Juneau area and returned them to her.<\/p>\n<p>JPD highlighted the incident as its \u201cCrime of the Week\u201d Tuesday to generate new tips. The woman originally had reported the burglary at about 9 a.m. on Feb. 19.<\/p>\n<p>Tipsters can call JPD at 586-0600 or report a tip online at juneaucrimeline.com.
