{"id":28522,"date":"2015-11-20T09:01:40","date_gmt":"2015-11-20T17:01:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/jgc-to-host-annual-turkey-shoot-saturday\/"},"modified":"2015-11-20T09:01:40","modified_gmt":"2015-11-20T17:01:40","slug":"jgc-to-host-annual-turkey-shoot-saturday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/life\/jgc-to-host-annual-turkey-shoot-saturday\/","title":{"rendered":"JGC to host annual Turkey Shoot Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The public is invited to try their luck and skill at this year\u2019s Juneau Gun Club Turkey Shoot happening from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game Hunter Education Facility on Montana Creek Road. <\/p>\n<p>According to a release from the JGC, 90 turkeys will be awarded to participants, but it\u2019s not necessary to shoot for a chance to win. <\/p>\n<p>Shooting events will include shotgun, rifle, pistol, archery, as well as games of skill and chance for youth and adults. Those games include trap, Annie Oakley, a card shoot or a bubble shoot. <\/p>\n<p>Loaner shotguns will be available, or participants can bring their own. However, no personal rifles or pistols are allowed; those will be provided.
