Assault<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 10:52 p.m. Saturday, the Juneau Police Department investigated an assault between two men, ages 63 and 46, in the 200 block of Front Street. Alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 12:49 a.m. Sunday, JPD investigated an assault between two men, ages 37 and 32, in the 200 block of Front Street. Alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 3:13 a.m. Sunday, JPD investigated a report of an assault and robbery in the 400 block of Willoughby Avenue. Alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n
Domestic violence<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 12:14 p.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a domestic violence related assault. Alcohol was not involved.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 9:32 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a domestic dispute and arrested a 22-year-old woman for criminal mischief domestic violence. She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was not involved.<\/p>\n
Drunken driving<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 3:39 a.m. Sunday, William Milton Jr., 23, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in the 3300 block of Douglas Highway. He provided a breath sample of 0.209 percent.<\/p>\n
Fire and medical<\/p>\n
\u2022 On Friday, Capital City Fire\/Rescue responded to seven EMS calls, one medical transport call, a report of smoke in a neighborhood near Grant and Erin Streets that was not found by responding units, a call to Stephen Richards Memorial Drive that was cancelled en route, and a call at 10:21 p.m. to Mendenhall Loop Road to help reset a fire alarm after it was triggered by a smoke machine.<\/p>\n
\u2022 On Saturday, CCFR responded to seven EMS calls, two medical transport calls, an unauthorized open burn on Manor Drive, and a fire alarm triggered by building construction on Egan Drive,<\/p>\n
\u2022 On Sunday, CCFR responded to 10 EMS calls, one medical transport call, a small vehicle fuel spill on Shell Simmons Drive and then a hydraulic fuel spill at the same location, a false call other than a fire alarm on West Willougbby Avenue, and an assist call to help JPD and Bartlett Regional Hospital. <\/p>\n
\u2022 On Monday, CCFR responded to a possible fire on Main Street at 7:52 a.m. Upon arrival, CCFR investigated and found no smoke or fire, just the powder from a used extinguisher. CCFR also responded to 14 EMS calls and a medical transport call.<\/p>\n
Motor vehicle crash<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 5:18 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a single vehicle crash in the 1300 block of Glacier Highway. The vehicle was found unoccupied, and the driver was contacted a short time later. There was no associated drunken driving arrest, but citations are pending for failing to give immediate notice of accident, negligent driving and failure to show proof of insurance. Police are not releasing the name of the person until the citations have been issued.<\/p>\n
Sexual assault<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 10:57 p.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a sexual assault in the 3300 block of Park Place. Alcohol was involved. JPD spokesperson Erann Kalwara said the subjects in the case are known to each other, and there is no concern for the public\u2019s safety.<\/p>\n
Shoplifting<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 1:29 p.m. Saturday, Kenneth Bennett and Martin King, both 55, were cited and released for concealment of merchandise at a business in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue. Alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n
Theft<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 11:09 a.m. Sunday, a 23-year-old woman reported her gold Samsung Galaxy S7 was stolen in the Juneau area.
Vehicle rifling<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 9:12 p.m. Saturday, an 18-year-old reported that about $90 worth of belongings were stolen from her vehicle on Marine Way.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
