{"id":28753,"date":"2018-06-01T22:36:00","date_gmt":"2018-06-02T05:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/police-arrest-alleged-knife-wielding-home-depot-robber\/"},"modified":"2018-06-01T22:36:00","modified_gmt":"2018-06-02T05:36:00","slug":"police-arrest-alleged-knife-wielding-home-depot-robber","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/police-arrest-alleged-knife-wielding-home-depot-robber\/","title":{"rendered":"Police arrest alleged knife-wielding Home Depot robber"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police have arrested a man <a href=\"http:\/\/juneauempire.com\/local\/news\/2018-05-23\/suspected-robber-pulls-knife-home-depot-employees\" target=\"_blank\">suspected of attempted robbery<\/a> at Home Depot in May, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.juneaupolice.com\/PSA-template.php?UID=1992\" target=\"_blank\">a Saturday <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.juneaupolice.com\/PSA-template.php?UID=1992\" target=\"_blank\">release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As of Friday, the Juneau Police Department was searching for Juneau resident Patrick &ldquo;Biscuit&rdquo; Kane Jr., according to the release. At 4:27 a.m. Saturday, police apprehended the 39-year-old robbery suspect.<\/p>\n<p>Kane was arrested and charged for first-degree robbery, third-degree assault and second-degree theft, all related to an incident at Home Depot last week. He also had an outstanding $200 JPD warrant for alleged violations of conditions of release. Police took Kane to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n<p>According to a press release in May, a suspect shoplifted an estimated $400 in items from Home Depot and then pulled a knife on the store employees who confronted him about the items. JPD got a call from Home Depot at about 2:43 p.m., police say, but the suspect was gone by the time officers arrived.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses at the scene, according to the release, saw the suspect run down a hill on the back side of the store and get into a blue extended cab GMC pickup truck with black rims.<\/p>\n<p>Police say they identified another person who was in the store and associated with the robbery at the time, 25-year-old Juneau resident William Eric Moy, Jr.<\/p>\n<p>The crime was Juneau Crime Line&rsquo;s Crime of the Week. Crime Line is a nonprofit that assists police departments in their investigations, and offers anonymity for tipsters.
