{"id":29376,"date":"2016-03-22T01:38:27","date_gmt":"2016-03-22T08:38:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/ccfr-puts-out-burning-bucket-in-baranof-basement\/"},"modified":"2016-03-22T01:38:27","modified_gmt":"2016-03-22T08:38:27","slug":"ccfr-puts-out-burning-bucket-in-baranof-basement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/ccfr-puts-out-burning-bucket-in-baranof-basement\/","title":{"rendered":"CCFR puts out burning bucket in Baranof basement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Baranof Hotel was evacuated briefly Sunday night after a bucket of oily rags in the basement caught fire setting off fire alarms, according to hotel management.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt sounded scary, but it was just some oily rags that caught fire in the basement,\u201d said Steve Hamilton, Baranof general manager. \u201cWe just threw them out, and that\u2019s all it was.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Capital City Fire\/Rescue arrived at the Baranof at about 8:30 p.m. and found a five-gallon bucket full of burning towels \u201cthat had an oily substance on them,\u201d according to a daily incident report from CCFR.
