{"id":29453,"date":"2016-08-09T21:39:02","date_gmt":"2016-08-10T04:39:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/warrant-issued-for-man-suspected-of-anchorage-kidnapping\/"},"modified":"2016-08-09T21:39:02","modified_gmt":"2016-08-10T04:39:02","slug":"warrant-issued-for-man-suspected-of-anchorage-kidnapping","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/warrant-issued-for-man-suspected-of-anchorage-kidnapping\/","title":{"rendered":"Warrant issued for man suspected of Anchorage kidnapping"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ANCHORAGE \u2014 A warrant has been issued for a 25-year-old man suspected of kidnapping.<\/p>\n<p>Anchorage police are looking for Brendon Wesley Adam Valdez.<\/p>\n<p>Police said a man at 9 p.m. Sunday picked up a hitchhiker, Valdez, near 36th Avenue in west Anchorage.<\/p>\n<p>He told police he drove Valdez to several locations and picked up a third man.<\/p>\n<p>Police said Valdez pulled a gun on the driver, ordered him into the passenger seat, drove around town for several hours and released the man unharmed early Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Police obtained a warrant charging Valdez with kidnapping, robbery, assault, vehicle theft and theft.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the victim\u2019s car, a white Ford coupe with license plate GRK103, remains missing.<\/p>\n<p>Valdez is also being sought on two unrelated felony warrants for probation violations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ANCHORAGE \u2014 A warrant has been issued for a 25-year-old man suspected of kidnapping.
